2018 February – Speaking alongside the Mayor

Alongside Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan and former Essence magazine editor-in-chief Susan Taylor, Rick spoke on stage as part of a collaboration between the City of Seattle’s Our Best initiative and the Seattle CARES Mentoring Movement (links below). The purpose is to grow the network of Black mentors serving Black youth.

You Never Know

You never know what sinks in with teenagers. We plan events and curriculum and often wonder if they were even listening. Then hours, days, months or even years later they say something that show us they were actually paying attention and that it had a big impact. The event above was a dating forum. We asked some great gals to come answer questions about dating and healthy relationships.

Happy Holidays from MUST!

Every year we take everyone out to buy them a Christmas present and a take a cheesy Santa photo. Some times our Christmas present is the only one guys get.

Calling all Cars

As we prepare for our next cohort of youth and mentors we are always in need of more cars. Do you have a fairly reliable car you can donate to MUST? You can get a full tax break for your
donation. If a mentor does not have a car, MUST will provide one to help with the rigors of college and to meet with the youth they mentor. One generous couple has donated 6 cars to MUST!

You can make donations directly to MUST!
